Lesson Procedures & Policies
- As lessons are relatively short it is essential that
we start right on time. There is a good possibility that another student has
a lesson immediately after yours and If you are late to a lesson it is my
responsibility to start the other lesson on time.
- If you need to reschedule a lesson you must do so
with at least 48-hours notice. Any lesson cancelled within 24-hours
shall be considered forfeited. If, for any reason, I am unable to keep our
lesson time I will keep to the same policy of 24 hours notice. Additionally,
if I miss one of your lessons without notice I will schedule a free make up
lesson.
- I recommend that you show up to lessons at least 10
or 15 minutes early so that you can warm up as you wait. Stretch and play
simple warm-ups such as slow scales and finger exercises. Once warmed up,
if you still have time, play through the material that we will be covering
in the lesson so that when you come in you are ready to go.
Payment
Lessons shall be paid by check, cash or credit card*,
monthly, in advance, due on the last lesson of the previous
month. Depending on the month this will mean either four or five lessons.
This payment policy will ensure our commitment to each other. Payment in advance
assures me that you are serious and reduces the hassles of weekly payments.
Additionally, you are assured of my commitment to your lessons by knowing that
we have agreed to an ongoing teacher/student relationship.
